Amigos y Amigas,

Es un gusto compartir con ustedes el sitio web https://www.cuidatuinfo.org, que tiene como objetivo apoyar a las personas y organizaciones de derechos humanos en el tema de seguridad de la información y comunicación, para que las mismas realicen procesos de sensibilización, auto-evaluación y planificación de acciones para asegurar todas las comunicaciones y datos sensibles sobre denuncias y defensa de los derechos humanos que forman parte de su misión y objetivos estratégicos.

Dicho sitio web es un producto concreto del proyecto en ejecución titulado “Defendiendo el Derecho de la Información y Comunicación en Centroamérica” coordinado por la Fundación Acceso y apoyado por la Iniciativa Especial para la Democracia y Libertad de Expresión de la Agencia Sueca de Desarrollo Internacional (Asdi).

En este proceso también nos acompañan organizaciones amigas como SEDEM (Seguridad en Democracia) y el Centro por la Justicia y el Derecho Internacional (CEJIL – Mesoamérica), así como nueve compañeras y compañeros técnicos/as de Honduras, Guatemala y Nicaragua.

Esperamos que este recurso virtual les sea útil y accesible para que la mayor cantidad de personas y organizaciones de derechos humanos lo puedan incorporar en sus procesos de fortalecimiento interno, tanto en Centroamérica como en Latinoamérica y el Caribe.

Les invitamos a que utilicen, adapten, regalen, compartan libremente todos los recursos del sitio web (imágenes, dibujos, presentaciones, publicaciones, programas, manuales, etc) ya que está registrado bajo licencia Creative Commons 3.0 Costa Rica: Atribución, Compartir Igual y No Comercial.

Dear friends

We are glad to share with all of you our web site https://www.cuidatuinfo.org, it's main goal is to support human right defenders and organizations on information and communication security, so they can implement internal processes of awareness, self assessment and action planning to secure delicate and sensible documentation and communications related to the defense of human rights that are an integral part as their mission and strategic objectives.

This web site is a concrete output of the project titled “Defending the right to information and to communicate in Central America” implemented by Fundación Acceso and supported by the Special Initiative for Democratisation and Freedom of Expression of the Swedish International Development Agency (Sida).

In this processes we are also supported by strategic alliances such as SEDEM (Security in Democracy) and the Center for Justice and International Law (CEJIL – Mesoamerica), as well as nine technical people from Honduras, Guatemala y Nicaragua.

We hope that this virtual tool will be useful and accessible to a larger audience of human right defenders and organizations in Central America and also Latin America and the Caribbean, so it can be a valuable resource for internal organizational strengthening processes.

We invite you to use, adapt, give, and freely share all the resources in this web site (images, drawings, presentations, publications, programs, applications, guides, etc) since it is registered under Creative Commons license 3.0 Costa Rica: By, Share Alike and Non-commercial. Although the web site is only in Spanish, we hope to release a bilingual publication about the projects experiences and findings.
